A disturbing new video has surfaced from the Bengaluru road rage case involving Indian Air Force (IAF) officer Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose and his wife, Squadron Leader Madhumita Das, showing the IAF officer attacking a delivery boy while his wife recorded the incident on her phone. The video, which has rapidly gone viral, shows the officer and the delivery boy in a violent altercation, with passersby struggling to separate them and calm the situation down.
As the confrontation escalates, the delivery boy is seen making a phone call, only for Wing Commander Bose to launch a series of brutal punches at him. The distressing footage captures the growing tension, with onlookers stepping in to intervene.
Earlier reports had stated that Wing Commander Bose was severely injured during the altercation. Following the incident, he released a video statement, claiming that the delivery boy had abused him in Kannada and made derogatory comments about the DRDO. According to Bose, when he exited his vehicle, the biker allegedly attacked him with a key, striking him on the forehead and causing him to bleed. In the video statement, visible injuries were seen on his face and neck.
However, Bengaluru Police have provided a contrasting version of the events. D. Devaraj, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Bengaluru), told ANI that the incident was a classic case of road rage and not motivated by any language or personal attacks. He clarified that "both sides could have avoided the fight." The argument began when the delivery boy, riding his bike in the opposite direction, collided with the car driven by Madhumita Das, the officer’s wife. The situation quickly escalated, leading to the physical altercation between the officer and the delivery boy. "When the argument started, 6–7 youngsters tried to stop them and calm things down," Devaraj explained.
