As counting continues for the Maharashtra civic body elections, early trends indicating a strong lead for the Mahayuti alliance have drawn a confident response from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Speaking on Friday, January 16, the Chief Minister said the ongoing results clearly reflect public confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the development-oriented policies of the ruling alliance.
Fadnavis made the remarks during his visit to the BJP headquarters at Nariman Point in Mumbai, where party leaders and workers have begun celebrations following encouraging trends from across the state, including the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
“The mandate we are witnessing today shows the people’s trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in the policies implemented by the Mahayuti government,” Fadnavis said, expressing optimism over the alliance’s performance.
