Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai presented the budget in the Legislative Assembly, emphasizing that it systematically implements Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ through various public welfare schemes. A major highlight of the budget is the announcement of a ₹50,000 crore Viksit Gujarat Fund to accelerate the state's growth.
Hailing the budget, CM Patel said, “This ₹3.70 lakh crore budget, the largest in Gujarat’s history, underscores our commitment to development. With a 21.8% increase in capital expenditure, it aims to make the lives of Gujarat’s citizens more comfortable, prosperous, and fulfilling.” He further expressed confidence that the budget would serve as a quantum leap in Gujarat’s economic progress.
