In a major push towards transforming Gujarat into a model state aligned with the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel chaired the third session of the high-level review meeting for the state’s high-impact development projects. The meeting focused on the progress of 32 major initiatives spanning seven key departments, with a combined investment of ₹1.74 lakh crore.

Top officials, including senior secretaries from each department, presented detailed progress reports and future roadmaps for the ongoing projects. Chief Minister Patel underlined that these infrastructure and welfare-driven projects are not only vital to Gujarat’s progress but also serve as a blueprint for integrated development in India.

He emphasized the need to ensure strict adherence to timelines and high-quality standards, noting that any delays could result in significant financial burdens. “Every project must reflect the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mission for a developed India. Gujarat must lead that transformation,” he stated.

Key Highlights from the Review:

  • Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project: The Chief Minister instructed officials to complete the compensation process for land acquisition by August 2025, calling it a critical milestone for India's first bullet train project.

  • Khavda Renewable Energy Park, Kachchh: 64% of the work on the 30 GW hybrid renewable park has been completed. Currently, 6,862 MW of clean energy capacity is already operational. The project is on track for full completion by December 2026.

  • National Maritime Heritage Complex, Lothal: The Ports & Transport Department confirmed completion of land allocation and key infrastructure like water pipelines, electricity, and road widening. Projects for tourism circuits, health facilities, and a state pavilion are in progress.

  • Sabarmati Riverfront Development Project: Chairman I.P. Gautam updated the CM on Phases 1 to 6 of the expansive riverfront redevelopment from Vasna Barrage to Gandhinagar Thermal Power Station.

  • Dream City, Surat: Inspired by PM Modi’s vision, planning for this ambitious urban development is underway, with consultations on the master plan currently in progress.

  • Kaushalya - The Skill University: The CM directed the Labour and Employment Department to fast-track the completion of this future-ready education hub aimed at enhancing youth employability and skill development.

The Chief Minister also laid special emphasis on the importance of infrastructure related to health, law enforcement, transportation, and tourism. He asked all departments to ensure cross-sectoral coordination and a citizen-centric approach in execution.
