Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli and singer Rocky Mittal have been booked by the Himachal Pradesh Police on charges of gang-rape and criminal intimidation. The incident allegedly took place on July 3, 2024, at the Ros Common Hotel in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, where the complainant claims she was harassed and assaulted by the two men.
According to the woman, Mittal had promised her a role in his music album, while Badoli allegedly offered her a government job. After consuming alcohol at their insistence, she was reportedly threatened, harassed, and raped by both men, who also filmed the assault. Later, she was allegedly called to Mittal's house in Panchkula, where she was threatened again with a false case.
The police have filed a case under sections 376D (gang-rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, and the investigation is currently underway. No arrests have been made yet. Both Badoli and Mittal have denied the accusations, calling them baseless and politically motivated.
Badoli, who was appointed as the president of the Haryana BJP in 2024, has previously served as an MLA and has a background in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
