In the aftermath of the Baramati plane crash involving his father, senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar, Jay Pawar has broken his silence, raising serious questions over the incident. Sharing an emotional message on social media, he said it is “highly unlikely” that the plane’s black box could have been destroyed so easily. He called for a transparent, impartial investigation to uncover the full truth behind the accident.

Jay emphasized that the people of Maharashtra deserve “complete, transparent, and indisputable” answers. He urged that the airline halt operations immediately and demanded a thorough probe into potential maintenance irregularities, warning that those found negligent or responsible must face strict action. He ended his statement with a poignant message, writing: “Miss you Dad,” reflecting the personal toll of the tragedy.

Family and Party Leaders Seek Accountability
Jay Pawar’s concerns have been echoed by other family members and senior NCP leaders. NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule expressed support for the investigation, stating that the entire state is in shock and commended Rohit Pawar for presenting well-researched facts that need to be probed.

Rohit Pawar, Ajit Pawar’s nephew, has also voiced suspicions regarding the aircraft’s handling. Speaking from Mumbai, he questioned why the plane was fully fueled before departure instead of refueling upon arrival in Hyderabad, suggesting that the aircraft could have been intentionally overloaded and implying possible manipulation of the pilot.

Sunetra Pawar Pushes for CBI Investigation
Adding to the call for accountability, Ajit Pawar’s wife and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar met with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday to request a CBI probe into the incident. NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) Maharashtra president Sunil Tatkare confirmed that senior party leaders, including National Working President Praful Patel and ministers Hasan Mushrif and Parth Pawar, had joined the meeting to push for a comprehensive investigation.
