Supreme Court Bar Association President Kapil Sibal has called for a firm and unified response from Parliament to condemn any political attempt to use terrorism as a tool for internal gain. Sibal stated that a clear resolution should be passed in Parliament asserting that no political party indulging in such acts will be supported.

Highlighting the sensitive nature of current public discourse, Sibal said the statements being made in the wake of recent terror incidents risk playing into Pakistan’s hands. He also expressed concern over how mainstream media is handling these narratives, suggesting that their amplification of certain remarks could align with adversarial propaganda.

Pointing fingers at a few senior leaders from the ruling BJP, Sibal emphasized that some of their recent comments are inadvertently aiding hostile narratives. He stressed the need for responsible communication from all political quarters during times of national security concerns.

Sibal urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, under whose leadership the BJP currently holds power, to send a clear and decisive message.
