Kolkata ‘Suicide’ Mystery Deepens: Autopsy Reveals Slashed Wrists, Poisoning, And High-Speed Car Crash

The chilling deaths of two women and a minor in Kolkata have taken a darker turn as autopsy reports reveal gruesome details, intensifying the mystery surrounding the case. The deceased, identified as Romi Dey (44), Sudeshna Dey (39), and Priyamvada (minor), were found dead inside their apartment on Wednesday, while their husbands—who survived a high-speed car crash—were the ones who informed the police.

Autopsy Findings: A Brutal Scene Unfolds

According to reports, Romi and Sudeshna’s throats were slit, and their wrists were slashed, while Priyamvada had bruises and was suspected to have died of poisoning. The police discovered the bodies in separate rooms, with bloodstains across the house, pointing towards a horrific series of events.

The Car Crash That Unraveled the Case

The shocking turn of events began when Prasun Dey and Pranay Dey, husbands of the deceased women, along with Pratip (minor son of Pranay and Sudeshna), were involved in a high-speed car crash at 100 km/h near the Avishikta crossing. All three survived and were rushed to the hospital.

When police arrived to record their statements, Pranay made a shocking confession, revealing that three family members had died at their home in the Tangra PS area.

Financial Crisis and Possible Suicide Pact?

Investigations indicate that financial troubles may have led to the tragedy. The brothers faced severe business losses post-COVID, and their factory was losing manpower. A day before the deaths, "well-built men" were seen at their factory, and a business partner, Manoj Gupta, visited their home but received no response.

CCTV footage from 12:54 AM on Wednesday captured the two brothers and Pratip leaving their home, raising further questions about their intentions and whether they planned to end their lives after the suspected murders.
