Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde strongly criticized the opposition for attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the distribution of ‘Saugat-e-Modi’ kits to underprivileged Muslims. Responding to the criticism, Shinde accused opposition leaders of spreading falsehoods during the Lok Sabha elections and now targeting PM Modi without reason.
"These people spread lies during the Lok Sabha elections that the Constitution will be changed, they did everything, and now these same people are accusing Modi ji," Shinde said, highlighting the government's welfare initiatives.
He defended Modi’s policies, emphasizing that they benefit all communities without discrimination. "Modi ji has brought 35 crore people above the poverty line, has given free ration to 80 crore people. There is Lakhpati Didi Yojana, Drone Didi Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana—are there only Hindus in it? Are Muslims, Christians not included? All people are included, there is no discrimination. All schemes are available for people of all communities, all religions," he asserted.
