Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday extended heartfelt congratulations to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the National Democratic Alliance leadership for securing a commanding victory in the 2025 Assembly Elections. Calling it a “historic and unprecedented mandate,” PM Modi said the people of Bihar had reinforced their faith in the alliance’s governance model and development-driven agenda.

In a series of posts on X, the Prime Minister described the verdict as a triumph of progress and public welfare. “Good governance has won. Development has won. The spirit of public welfare has won. Social justice has won,” he wrote, expressing deep gratitude to the people of Bihar.

PM Modi said the overwhelming result would give the NDA renewed strength to accelerate growth in the state. He assured that the government would work “actively and decisively” to enhance Bihar’s infrastructure, elevate its cultural identity, and create wider opportunities for youth and women.

The Prime Minister lauded Nitish Kumar, Union Ministers Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha for their leadership, crediting them with strengthening the NDA’s appeal across the state. He also praised NDA workers for their relentless campaign, saying they “tirelessly countered every lie” put forth by the opposition Mahagathbandhan.

With counting nearly complete, the NDA is poised to retain power with more than 200 seats in the 243-member Assembly. The BJP is set to emerge as the single-largest party, achieving close to a 95% strike rate. The majority mark stands at 122.
