Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday revealed that he had a conversation with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, rekindling discussions on strategic cooperation in technology and innovation between India and the United States.

Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister posted:
"Spoke to Elon Musk and talked about various issues, including the topics we covered during our meeting in Washington DC earlier this year. We discussed the immense potential for collaboration in the areas of technology and innovation. India remains committed to advancing our partnerships with the US in these domains."

The virtual exchange builds upon their in-person meeting held in Washington DC during PM Modi’s state visit to the US earlier this year. During that visit, both leaders had expressed mutual interest in exploring opportunities in areas like electric mobility, space technology, AI, and clean energy.

While Musk has previously shown interest in entering the Indian market, especially with Tesla, discussions have also expanded to broader domains of innovation where India’s fast-growing digital ecosystem aligns with Musk's tech ventures.
