Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Member of Parliament Supriya Sule has expressed disappointment following a Bengaluru court's decision to allow the filing of an FIR against Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Speaking in Pune, Sule voiced concerns about the implications of the allegations and the potential impact on Sitharaman's political standing.
Sule stated, "When the Parliament session begins in November, we will definitely ask some direct questions to this government because it is very disappointing. I saw her [Nirmala Sitharaman] as a very strong, honest woman who was trying to lead this country. And when such allegations are levelled, it's very disappointing."
The Bengaluru court's decision has sparked political debate, with opposition leaders indicating that the matter will be raised in the upcoming Parliament session.
