Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has launched a sharp attack on the BJP-JD(U) government in Bihar, comparing it to rickety 15-year-old vehicles that are banned for causing pollution. He argued that the 20-year-old NDA rule under CM Nitish Kumar has become a burden on the people and must be replaced.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, the Leader of the Opposition declared, "Old vehicles are banned in Bihar for spreading pollution. Then why should this outdated NDA government, which has been in power for two decades, be allowed to continue?"
"NDA Govt Has Polluted Bihar with Poverty, Unemployment, and Crime"
Tejashwi accused the Nitish-led government of spreading the "pollution of poverty, unemployment, corruption, crime, and migration" across Bihar. "This government of manipulation and flip-flops has ruined two generations. Bihar’s youth are ready to bring a new, visionary, and reliable leadership focused on jobs and development," he added.
Nitish Kumar’s Political Flip-Flops Under Fire
Yadav also took a dig at Nitish Kumar's frequent political realignments, reminding people that he has switched alliances multiple times:
- 2013 – Snapped ties with BJP.
- 2015-2017 – Partnered with RJD in Mahagathbandhan.
- 2017 – Rejoined NDA.
- 2022 – Switched back to RJD-helmed Mahagathbandhan.
- 2024 – Returned to NDA.
