Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has acknowledged the financial hurdles currently faced by the state government, citing difficulties in providing retirement benefits, fee reimbursements, and implementing welfare schemes such as Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Laxmi.
Speaking at a public event, CM Reddy highlighted the severity of the economic challenges, noting that the government is working to address and overcome them. He stated that even routine responsibilities like disbursing retirement pensions to former employees and reimbursing education fees have become strained under the current financial circumstances.
Despite these constraints, CM Reddy announced a major disbursement aimed at supporting the state’s agricultural community. Under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, the government will release ₹9,000 crore in financial assistance to 70,11,984 farmers covering 1.49 lakh acres, over a span of nine days. This initiative is intended to reinforce the idea that farming should be seen as a celebration, not a burden.
The Rythu Bharosa scheme is aimed at providing direct financial support to farmers to ensure timely investments during crop seasons.
