Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, during a meeting in the city, emphasized the government's commitment to job creation and employee welfare through the introduction of the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme in the latest budget. The scheme, aimed at boosting employment, focuses on providing incentives to employees while easing the process for new youth joining the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).
"In this budget, the ELI Scheme has been declared for the employees," Mandaviya stated. "The new youths who are joining EPFO, for their ease, IT platforms have to be channelized. These matters were discussed today in the meeting held here."
The minister's remarks underline the government's effort to leverage digital platforms to simplify access to benefits for young workers and promote employment growth through structured incentives. The ELI scheme is seen as a strategic move to create more opportunities for India's growing workforce, especially in the post-pandemic era.
