Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has strongly opposed the Waqf Act Amendment Bill in the Legislative Assembly, citing concerns over increased government interference and diminished authority of the Waqf Board.
Calling the amendment discriminatory towards Muslims, Stalin criticized the move, arguing that it strips the Waqf Board of its autonomy and unfairly targets the Muslim community. He urged the central government to withdraw the bill, emphasizing that such policies should be framed with fairness and inclusivity.
