Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has assured farmers that the state government is committed to providing daytime electricity for irrigation to every farmer by March 2026.
Speaking at the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi programme today, the Chief Minister highlighted the progress already made in strengthening the agricultural power supply. He noted that a large majority of the farming community benefits from daytime electricity, and the government is now working toward complete coverage.
“By March 2026, all the farmers of the state will get daytime electricity for irrigation,” Patel said. He added that “currently, more than 98 per cent of the farmers get daytime electricity; this figure will be increased to 100 per cent.”
