Union Minister Piyush Goyal has lauded the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in tackling the Naxal issue in the country. Speaking at a recent event, Goyal stated, "Prime Minister Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have taken a strong initiative to address the Naxal issue. If Naxalism spreads, it causes deep pain in the country, especially for our poor brothers and those living in backward and remote areas who have been deprived of development for decades."
Goyal's remarks come amidst ongoing efforts by the central government to curb the influence of Naxalism, particularly in regions plagued by insurgency and lack of basic development. The government has introduced various measures aimed at improving infrastructure, security, and social services in these areas to ensure the welfare of citizens and to counter the spread of Naxal ideologies.
The Union Minister emphasized the government's commitment to restoring peace and stability, especially in marginalized communities. "The rise of Naxalism not only harms national security but also affects the very people who need development the most. Our government's initiatives are aimed at empowering these communities and ensuring that they receive the progress and opportunities they have long been denied," Goyal added.
