In a fiery election rally in Bihar, Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi launched a fierce attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP government, accusing them of halting key development projects, damaging India’s economy, and bowing to foreign pressure.
Speaking to a massive gathering, Gandhi said, “I said in Nalanda that the best university should be made there. During our tenure, we started Nalanda University. Our vision was that it should be visible in the world, but the BJP halted it.”
Criticising the BJP’s economic decisions, Gandhi added, “They did demonetisation, implemented the wrong GST, and finished off small and medium businesses that would have provided employment in Bihar.”
He stressed his vision of self-reliant growth for the state, saying, “I want a day when ‘Made in Bihar’ is written behind a telephone instead of ‘Made in China.’ PM Narendra Modi cannot do this... He is a coward.”
